A key professional goal for me for 2023 is the revamp and relaunch of the Start Local Podcast, a show I put together with Joe Casabona in April 2020. We began the show as a way to enable local businesses in and around Chester County, Pennsylvania, to learn how to transition their organizations in light of the Covid pandemic. Over time, government agencies at all levels – county, state, and federal – got a better handle on delivering funding, support, and key information. At that point, Joe and I hit the pause button on the show.
Progressing the Show in a New Direction
In looking to bring Start Local back to the digital airwaves, the plan was to keep the show focused on businesses and non-profits in and around Chester County (that is, greater Philadelphia). Yet, I wanted to pivot awake from responding to the pandemic. In 2023, the show aims to help local area businesses and non-profits connect and grow together.
As I write this post, we have published five podcast episodes, sharing new shows every fortnight.
So, I will mark “relaunch Start Local Podcast” as done on my 2023 to do list.
