On the 4th of July

grill

In preparing for my first 4th July celebration since moving to Philadelphia, I thought it time to make that all American purchase, the barbecue grill. I am happy to report that my first attempt at a bbq dinner met with sufficient success: I didn’t burn the hotdogs, brats, burgers or Italian sausages beyond recognition. No, I didn’t exhibit amazing chef skills either, but I managed to grill well enough that others were willing to eat.

That’s some measure of success, isn’t it?
