I’m a communications designer working in both print and web media. Fascinated by the thought of distributing ideas on screen and on paper, I have almost 20 years of experience as a marketing consultant, designer and copy writer. I offer my skills and services through my company, LBDesign.
The internet, with its ability to communicate across the face of the world in seconds, never ceases to amaze me. And yet, a printed piece, with its tactile surface, its rigid and clearly defined edges holds a certain romanticism.
I began a design career in America in 2000. In 2002, I re-located to the UK, arriving in London in September. Since then, I have moved steadily west from SW18 to SL6 (Maidenhead, Berkshire), and then on to OX33 (Horspath, Oxford), where I arrived in September 2006. In 2009 I moved again, this time back to the USA. I now live just outside Philadelphia.
When I am not plopped in front of the computer, (playing, working or just chilling out), I enjoy reading, exercising, watching football (soccer), drinking good beers and whiskies, and spending time outdoors in the wooded hills of eastern Pennsylvania.
In May 2012, I co-founded the Philly ‘burbs WordPress Meetup, the little brother to the Philly WordPress Meetup. It’s exciting to see that we’re still going strong! I keep myself active in the WordPress community.
